Doggy Daycare

DOGGY DAYCARE ON MONDAYS, TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS!

What is Doggy Daycare?

It is like daycare for human babies.  You drop your dog off in the morning on your way to work and while you slave away, your pampered pooch is having a great time playing with other friendly dogs in an organized, controlled and monitored environment.  Your dog can  play all day in a safe, fenced play area and come home a tired puppy for you to enjoy instead of being upset with for destroying the house!

Why Doggy Daycare?

Dogs are pack animals.  Daycare gives them the opportunity to interact with other dogs in a controlled environment which benefits them socially, physically, and emotionally.  Being left at home all day, every day makes many dogs feel anxious, which could lead to excessive barking, destructive habits like chewing or accidents.  Daycare decreases their boredom and helps them learn social skills with other dogs and humans.  They also get a lot of exercise which helps with weight control.  Parents no longer have to feel guilty about leaving their furry children cooped up all day alone and at the end of the day they are both ready for a quiet evening.

What will they do?

We have two large play areas outside for them to run and play with each other under supervision.  If the weather is bad, they can come inside and play on textured floors to prevent them from slipping.  They will get a two hour nap in the middle of the day so they don't get grouchy.  Most of the day they will be playing and so they will sleep well when they get home.  If they misbehave, they will get a time out.

When can they come?

Doggy Daycare is available on Monday thru Friday for any dog that passes our evaluation.  We separate the large from the  small to medium dogs and puppies.  Our hours are from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.  All dogs are screened to ensure that they will play nicely together.  Sorry, we can not accept aggressive dogs.  Please  call us at 540-439-7297 to schedule an interview.

How will they get there?

If you can not bring them or pick them up, we offer pickup and delivery.  The cost is $1.00/mile.  If there are other dogs from your area, then the cost will decrease per dog.  We are currently picking up in the Bristow area on Tuesday and Thursdays for $5 a dog, and Gainsville and Haymarket on Monday and Wednesday for $10 a dog.  Call us for more details.

What do they need?

They will need the following vaccinations: Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella (within 6 months) and Canine Influenza.  They also need to be on a flea and tick preventative.  If we find fleas on your pet, we will treat them at your expense.  A fecal is also required.  If the dog is on heartworm preventative, then a negative fecal within a year is accepted.  If the dog is not on heartworm preventative, then we require a negative fecal within 6 months.
